Introduction to Water-soluble Packaging Film

u003cpu003eGreen packaging material--Introduction to water-soluble plastic packaging filmu003cbr /u003eWater-soluble plastic packaging film is a novel green packaging material. The main raw material is polyvinyl alcohol with a low alcoholysis degree. It uses polyvinyl alcohol's film-forming properties, water solubility and degradability, and adds various additives, such as surfactants, plasticizers, and anti-sticking agents. Water-soluble film products are environmentally friendly packaging materials, and are recognized by the national environmental protection authorities in Europe, America, Japan and other countries. At present, biological oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) are mainly regarded as environmental protection indicators at home and abroad. The relevant Japanese authorities have determined that the biological oxygen consumption (BOD) of polyvinyl alcohol is much smaller than that of starch. After 5 days of biodegradation of Airvol's PVA products by Air Products, the measured BOD amount is less than 1% of the initial total BOD. Biological tests have proved that polyvinyl alcohol is neither toxic nor preventing the growth and reproduction of microorganisms, and has no effect on wastewater treatment and environmental sanitation. The relevant department's microbial decomposition test research also shows that polyvinyl alcohol is almost completely decomposed, which reduces COD very low. u003cbr /u003eAs far as the degradation mechanism is concerned, polyvinyl alcohol has both water and biological degradation characteristics. First, it dissolves in water to form a glue and penetrates into the soil, increasing the soil's mass adhesion, air permeability and water retention, and is especially suitable for sandy soil. Transformation. PVA in the soil can be decomposed by a strain of Pseudomonas, a bacteria isolated in the soil. The symbiosis system composed of at least two kinds of bacteria can degrade polyvinyl alcohol: one is the active bacteria of polyvinyl alcohol, and the other is the bacteria that produces the substances required by the active PVA bacteria. The oxidation reaction enzyme of the secondary alcohol catalyzes the polyvinyl alcohol, and then the hydrolase cuts the oxidized PVA main chain, further degrades, and finally degrades into CO2 and H2O. u003c/pu003eu003cbr /u003eu003c/pu003eu003c/pu003e
